Cypress Macrocarpa, or Monterey Cypress is a timber which is not widely available commercially. Due to it's nature of growth it is not generally grown in plantations, but is grown more for practical uses such as windrows on farms, and is often seen lining driveways on country properties or separating paddocks.

As it's marketing name suggests, it has a golden colour with distinctive grain, and is easily distinguishable from the more commercially available white cypress you would normally find in your local hardware shop or timber merchant.

 Monterey cypress is a durable and very stable timber which is less likely to crack and check than it's relative, and is also considered to be more termite resistant, making it a very suitable timber for in-ground and external applications, such as decking, weatherboards, posts and outdoor furniture.

Due to our close affiliation with various tree recovery specialists, we are able to supply this very versatile material on a consistant basis without harvesting from natural growth forests, which is where it's commercially available counterpart is usually taken from.

Bigger is better in our world, and the more timber you can use in your home, the more beautiful it will look!   Long lengths are also our specialty and we are able to supply large and small sizes up to 8 metres in length!

Specialty decking is also our forte`, supplying 150mm and 200mm widths, and,  if you give us your measurements, we can usually supply set lengths which eliminates the need for joining, takes less time to lay, and simply looks great!
