The ancestor of the modern 'Playing Card' was born in the mystic Orient over a thousand years ago. Some say a Chinese sage invented them; others say the Egyptians, Arabs or Hindus. From earliest times collectors have been intrigued by the various designs found on the back of cards. There are tens of thousands of different types in existence. That is why many people from all over the world are drawn each year to this fun and fascinating hobby.
