Here at Crystal Dreamer, all our crystals are lovingly and intentionally cleansed and packaged. Having said this, cleansing your crystal, gifts you with the opportunity to attune and connect with it. Cleansing your crystal also rejuvenates and clears the vibrational essence of the crystal, so that it may be attuned with your energy and essence. As you intuitively connect with your crystal, you will get a feel for it’s energetic wellbeing. 

A crystal may inadvertently absorb negativity or electromagnetic stress from the environment in which it is placed. Energetic vibrations can be absorbed directly into the lattice of the crystal and for this reason it is imperative to cleanse the crystal of any accumulated negative energy before wearing or working with it.  Often when a crystal has absorbed to capacity, it may look dull or cloudy.

If your crystal looks a little lack lustre, or seems ‘down’, this would suggest that your crystal needs to be cleansed.   Trust your instincts. If you feel that your crystal seems a little down, it may have absorpted to capacity and need cleansing.

Crystals have a deep affinity for Nature and flourish and shine when they are able to commune with nature and the elements.  As you cleanse your crystal, you may feel tingling vibrant energy emanating from it, perhaps you may even feel it tickle your hand in sheer delight.

 

Clearing and Rejuvenating the Vibrational essence your Crystal

Listed below are some simple cleansing rituals that are very effective in clearing and rejuvenating the vibrational essence of your crystal:

Cleansing with Water (Purified, Natural Spring or Rainwater)

Immerse your crystal in a lake, stream or the ocean. Imagine the flow of water clearing away any imbalances within the crystal. One truly rejuvenating cleansing method, is to let them be in the rain (remember as a child the pure delight of playing in the rain!).  *Remember though, the water cleansing method is not suitable for water-soluble crystals, or crystals that are very soft and delicate and therefore susceptible to flaking and cracking when exposed to water.

Misting with a blend of Rose Water and pure spring water

Cleansing with Himalayan Rock Salt

Dry Sea Salt and Salt water cleansing has often been advocated for crystal cleansing.  However the abrasive nature of salt granules can often damage the surface of many softer stones.  Preparing a weak solution of Himalayan Rock Salt and warm water is suitable for cleansing Quartz Crystals.

Give your crystals a Nature Bath

Enliven your crystals in the sunshine; the warmth and light of the sun energises and enlivens the crystal matrix for a deep level of rejuvenation. Balance and rejuvenate your crystals under the light of the full moon.

Cleansing with sound

Harmonious sound vibrations, emitted from a metal bell or bowl, tinkling bells or chimes, or a Tibetan singing bowl, is a soothing way to cleanse crystals.

Cleansing with smudging

Smudging is a technique that uses incense smoke or the fragrant smoke of a smudge stick – this is an excellent method for cleansing crystals that have been exposed to strong negative emotions or electromagnetic pollution.

*Important Note:

The water cleansing method is not suitable for water-soluble crystals,
or crystals that are very soft and delicate and therefore susceptible
to flaking and cracking when exposed to water.

Apatite, Apophyllite, Aquamarine, Aragonite, Atacamite, Azurite,
Calcites, Chrysocolla, Gypsum, Iceland Spar, Kunzite, Kyanite, Lepidolite,
Limonite, Mica, Muscovite, Okenite, Satin Spar, Selenite,
