Q. Can I pay with personal check?
A. Yes, we do accept personal cheques, although all orders paid by personal cheques are held for up to 10 days for cheque clearance. To avoid this mandatory cheque hold period, we suggest you use a money order instead.
Q. How do I pay for an item I have purchased?
A. Upon the close of an auction you will be notified by eBay via e-mail that you are the winning bidder. There is no need to contact us to arrange payment. We will automatically send you an e-mail promptly after auction close. Our e-mail will contain all the information you require to quickly and conveniently pay for your purchase.
Q. How much time do I have to pay for an item?
A. You have seven days from the close of the auction to pay for your item, after which time we may cancel the transaction and resell you item.
Q. What credit cards does Guitar Easy accept?
A. We do not accept credit card payments directly.
Q. Can I get a receipt for my payment?
A. Yes. When your payment is received we will send you an e-mail receipt which you can keep and/or print. The e-mail also includes useful postal information advising how, where and when your purchase will be delivered.
Q. What is the additional postal and handling charge for?
A. On listings where there is more than one item available, some bidders may wish to buy more than one. For each additional item purchased, there may be an additional postage and handling charge. If you are only buying one item, you only need to pay the first postal and handling charge and not the additional.
Q. I purchased a few items from you during the same timeframe, can you post them together?
A. Yes. If you purchase several items from us it is easiest for everyone if you don't immediately take any of the items through eBay checkout. Instead, just send us an e-mail when you have finished shopping and we will recalculate the postage and handling charges and send you a combined invoice. If you happen to take one or more items through eBay checkout we can still recalculate the postage and handling charges but it is technically impossible to send you a combined invoice. So it gets a little trickier, but we will still make sure that you benefit from discounted combined postage wherever possible.
Q. How do you calculate postage costs?
A. We use an average Australia wide postage cost based upon the weight or size of the item. This cost is clearly listed in every posting we place on eBay. We also include handling costs and insurance costs in the postage charge.
Q. How long will it take for my item to reach me?
A. If we receive your payment into our account before 10pm on Sunday through Thursday we will post your purchase at 9am the next business day (Monday through Friday). Expect to receive your purchase approximately 3 business days after we receive your payment (slightly longer in rural or remote areas).
Q. How do I track my order?
A. Once we post your order you will receive an e-mail confirmation. With the exception of very low value items (e.g. guitar picks) we post all parcels using Australia Post's Registered Post or Receipted Delivery services. Whilst both services enable Australia Post to track a parcel, at this stage Australia Post do not provide an online facility for users to track a parcel.
Q. What do I do if my order doesn't arrive?
A. Upon making delivery the postman will require a signature as proof of delivery. If there is no one to sign for the item the postman will leave a card advising of an unsuccessful delivery and inviting you to visit your Post Office to collect the item. If you do not visit your Post Office within a few days you will be sent another card. If you do not collect the item it will be returned to us.
For items addressed to PO Boxes or Locked Bags you will need to collect the item from the Post Office counter.
In the unlikely event that you do not receive your purchase within 6 business days please enquire with your local Post Office by quoting the Registered Post or Receipted Delivery item number we provided to you in the postal confirmation e-mail. PLEASE NOTE : on almost all occasions where an item is delayed it has been at the local Post Office all the time - just awaiting your collection.
After 6 business days you can also telephone Australia Post on tel 131318 (and select menu option 2, then 4) and by quoting the Registered Post or Receipted Delivery item number Australia Post will be able to locate the item for you. PLEASE NOTE : if you call Australia Post too soon it's likely that they cannot assist you.
If after these enquiries the item appears lost please contact us and we will request Australia Post to initiate an investigation. Australia Post can produce details of who signed for the item, where and when.
Q. Can I have an item delivered to a P.O. Box or Locked Bag?
A. Yes, certainly.
Q. I live outside of Australia. What about international postage?
A. Sorry, we are unable to post internationally.
Q. Can I have a package delivered without a signature required?
A. With the exception of very low value items (e.g. guitar picks) we post all parcels using Australia Post's Registered Post or Receipted Delivery services. Both these services require a signature on delivery, so this provides both you and us with certainty that you will receive your purchase.
Q. How do I have items posted to a different address?
A. Just send us an e-mail if your require your purchase to be posted to a different address. For high value items, we may require that we post the item to your eBay (or PayPal) address only.
Q. What are your postage options?
A. With the exception of very low value items (e.g. guitar picks) we post all parcels using Australia Post's Registered Post or Receipted Delivery services.
Q. I received my product damaged. What do I do?
A. We check and professionally package our products to ensure that they reach you in the best condition. If your product is damaged, please save all packaging and e-mail us. We will promptly respond to your claim to resolve the matter. If your package has visible damage please inspect before accepting.
Q. Can I change the colour or size of my item?
A. Sorry, the colour or size of the item can effect the ending price. We cannot change the colour or size on ended auctions. Additionally, eBay policy does not permit colour or size options on auctions.
Q. Why can't I know what the reserve price is?
A. The 'Reserve Auction' is a great way to reduce time in the buying/selling process. In a 'Reserve Auction', the price that seller will take for the auction is set and undisclosed. When a buyer is interested, they bid an amount that either meets the 'Reserve' price or they are informed that the amount they bid was insufficient.
Q. What is a "Dutch Auction"?
A. On a "Dutch Auction", there are multiple amounts of an item available. The number of items available dictates the amount of winners possible. One of the most appealing options about the "Dutch Auction" is that the top winners all pay the lowest price bid by the lowest winning bidder. If you only want one (1) of these items, only bid on one (1) and you will only pay shipping on one (1) item. You may want to check eBay's FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) under 'Dutch Auction'.
