About Our Silver. Most of our sterling silver is comprised of 92.5% pure silver (the remaining 7.5% comes from copper). Since pure silver is quite soft, adding copper to fine silver makes it more durable and longer lasting, and also gives a more highly polished finish. We also offer several pieces made from 100% silver, which has a heavier look with a more dull lustre, but has a great effect for a particular style which is quite popular.

Silver jewellery styles vary according to the level of polishing, and the fineness of the silver used. Some filigree pieces are very fine and highly polished, through to heavier pieces which purposely create a silver and black effect in the way that the silver is worked.

Over time sterling develops a mellow patina, which often results in an appreciated antique look. Often a black oxidation builds up in the details which also gives your jewellery piece a beautiful and unique look. Sterling silver jewellery can go with anything, any time, and anywhere.
