Lochaber Highland Estates is proud to have gained the support of many national newspapers and magazines. We have now featured in Readers Digest, Scotland on Sunday, The Daily Mail, The Times, and The Daily Express, some small country magazines, and many local newspapers in Lochaber.

Our favourite article was written by Mike Wade (see photo above...If you click on the photo you can read his article which is well written and quite humorous if a little exaggerated for comic effect!) purely because of the effort he went to! Not only did he interview us, he also paid for a plot of land and then travelled all the way up to see it...in a kilt! We were impressed at his dedication, even if his kilt didn't fit and he had forgotten his sporan :)

We very much enjoyed meeting him and showing him his plot. The land he bought was not in the same location as the same land being sold now, as we have now bought a larger wood to enable the sale of larger plots (we used to only offer the 1 sq foot), a better car parking area and more room for bigger signs to help Laird's find the plots... but the idea is the same. And the two woods are only 30 miles apart.

Mr Wade said in his article "(you get) the chance to buy a one-foot-square plot of land in a remote and romantic part of Scotland and with it the right to style yourself 'laird' or 'lady', 'the perfect gift' for a best man or a favourite uncle, a giggle for the woman you love when you make a lady of her at last." but he also mentions "the impressive green message promoted, which tells me about tree-planting on the wider estate and an ambition to help rebuild the great Caledonian forest."

After meeting and talking to us, he describes the company as "thoroughly professional and respectable" and we thought the same about him!

Mr Wade has now been invited to come up to see our new wood, near Duror, Lochaber that we bought in October 2007 and we will post the link to his second article if one is published!
