Well it’s about me mostly! But I must admit I am ably assisted by my son and daughter at times.

My name is Malcolm Young and I have been a photography enthusiast for over 30 years. My special interests have always been macro and landscape but in recent times I have became interested in studio work which led me to start the StudioGear business.

So not only do I sell this equipment but I use it myself regularly.

I currently run a Canon 5D, a Nikon D300, a Shen-hao 4x5 camera with a 6x12 film back and a Gaoersi 6x17 camera.

I put my eBay business on holiday for a week now and then to disappear into the wide blue yonder photographing Australia

My philosophy in business is threefold:

• Customer satisfaction is paramount because nothing builds a business so well as repeat business and personal referrals
• A good deal needs to be a good deal for both parties
• I sell for a reasonable markup, not for what I think I can get. Sadly this is not a common business philosophy in Australia.
