FAQ's

  • How is the best way to make multiple purchases?  When making multiple purchases DO NOT complete checkout after each individual purchase. Simply make all of your purchases first and then request a combined postage total at the end. Please be aware that when you complete checkout yourself without asking the seller for a total, Ebay itself will actually calculate the total postage which is based on the cost of posting each individual item separately. Ebay will never combine postage so you must always ask the seller for the correct postage costs.

  • How can I make payment? I accept direct deposit to my bank account (preferred), money orders and cheques. Please note that at times it can take a few days before the cheque is actually presented at the bank and then will be subject to clearance.

  • What reference should I use when making my payment? Always use your Ebay User ID as your reference for direct deposit. DO NOT use just your name because it will delay posting. When making a deposit at a branch, please ONLY USE your 4 digit postcode for the address you have registered with Ebay. DO NOT use part of the item number (it doesn't help) or any other digits which may be relevant to you but means nothing to me. Your postcode is perfect.

  • Which bank do you bank with? My Ebay account is held with Westpac. I also bank with The Teachers Credit Union if that suits better.

  • How long does it take for you to receive my deposit? Once you make your deposit (provided it’s before 6pm) it usually shows up in my account the following morning (except over the weekend and public holidays).

  • How does the packaging process work? Once your payment has shown as a verified payment in my account,  I print all invoices for the corresponding payments. It takes approx 24-48 hours to pack and is sent out on my next posting day. Please bear in mind that at times customers can sometimes pay all at the same time or the occasional catastrophe can happen at home and it may take an extra day to get sent out to you (though I can assure you this is very rare!!).

  • When will my package be posted? Postage is generally done everday, but sometimes things crop up which prevent me from going on a particular day.

  • I’m worried about my goods arriving safely. How are they packed? All bendable items, such as stickers, papers and cardstock are always sent in protective plastic sleeves with cardboard backing for excellent protection. They will also be marked ‘DO NOT BEND!’. If your items cannot fit into an envelope and need to be sent as a package, they will be sent in a bubble-wrap mail envelope or a box.

  • What happens if my items go missing? If you have paid for registered post, I will follow the Australia Post guidelines for a missing parcel.

If you have not paid for registered post, please understand I am under no obligation to reimburse you or re-send the missing items. I will always be able to provide the Australia Post receipt that shows your postcode and the type of article that was sent as proof of sending...that way I can never be accused of not sending the items and negative feedback in that case should not be left. If requested, I will lodge a complaint form with the post office. They do their investigation for a period of around 2 to 3 weeks to see if they can locate the missing items. If not, I then have to send proof of the items being sent as well as invoices, etc and they will then advise if they will reimburse me for the lost items. Please note, there is a $2.60 service fee to do this to cover the cost of my time filling out the paperwork, photocopying receipts and invoices, etc. The $2.60 is the cost of what it would have cost to register the parcel and I feel is fair and reasonable. The $2.60 service fee is payable before I lodge the forms and if Australia Post rejects the claim you will not be reimbursed the fee. Please also note the maximum reimbursement by Australia Post is $50.

  • Do you post internationally? Yes, I do post internationally. PayPal is the only method of payment I can accept for overseas buyers and you MUST email for a final total, as postage rates are different for overseas mail.

  • Do you combine postage? Yes, I combine postage on all items purchased for up to 7 days.

  • Can I pick up my purchases direct from you? You are more than welcome to pick up your purchases from my home at a time suitable to us both. Should you fail to turn up at the time arranged, then it will need to be sent through the post at your own cost.

UNPAID DISPUTES PROCEDURE:  I usually wait until 14 days have passed since the first purchase (although, occassionally it may be after 12 days) before I lodge an unpaid item dispute with Ebay. Please note that this is a very time consuming process as I have to lodge an individual dispute for every item purchased. Therefore, if a buyer does actually make payment after the disputes have been lodged I WILL NOT close off the disputes myself. Instead, they will automatically close off on their own after about 30 days from the day the disputes were lodged. The reason for this is that I again have to close off each dispute individually for each item purchased and it is a very time consuming process. As harsh as it may sound, I am not wasting my time any more than I have to for buyers that don't have the courtesy to pay on time.
