 | Q: Unpaid items: repairers' lien |
 | A: Repairers' lien applies under Victorian and Australian law. The repairer has and reserves the right to hold repair items as security against all unpaid charges, to charge storage fees @$A11.00 per week after 30 days unpaid, and to publicly auction the goods for recovery of all charges unpaid after 90 days. |
 | Q: What is your return policy? |
 | A: Money back for 30 days. 90 days warranty on all new parts and labour. |
 | Q: Do you combine shipping? |
 | A: Yes, please ask for details. |
 | Q: When can I expect my order to arrive? |
 | A: Services take 2-3 weeks.
Electronic parts please allow 7 days.
Solar cells and accessories please allow at least 14 days. |
 | Q: Do your prices include Australian GST |
 | A: Yes, by e-bay policy this is the only way prices may be listed. |
 | Q: Do you ship internationally? |
 | A: Yes, please ask for details. |
 | Q: About prices for solar cells ... |
 | A: Pricing for solar cells and associated items are adjusted every week to take account of international price shifts and exchange rate movements. Prior sales are honoured at the rate then applying of course.
Prices for solar cells are currently at a historic low and are expected to rise in the shorter term before falling in the longer term. |
 | Q: Which is best, polycrystalline, mono-crystalline, or multi-crystalline cells |
 | A: Mono-crystalline cells have the best conversion efficiency, followed by poly. Don't use multi-cells, and don't buy broken cells, or cells smaller than an inch: somebody has sawn them up to try to make more money out of the same stock, and you will also spend twice as long on soldering and construction. |
 | Q: Tab and bus wire - what's the difference |
 | A: Tab wire is very light flat wire used to interconnect cells in series. Bus wire is used to interconnect cell strings in parallel: it has to carry much more current so it is heavier flat wire. Both kinds of wire are custom-made to our electrical and materials specifications and are not available elsewhere. |
 | Q: About us |
 | A: We are an international brand of do-it-yourself solar experts with representation in USA (Illinois) and Australia (Victoria). |
 | Q: Do you do repairs? |
 | A: We don't sell new equipment: our only interest is in getting yours working again. The services we offer fix 90% of problems. So we don't do repairs without doing a service first: it's a waste of time. Repairs needed after the service are on T&M at $50 per hour. Most shops that do repairs will charge you $120 just to open the lid, then $80/hr. |
